Florida Nanny Rate Standards

The average rate for live-out and live-in nannies in Florida ranges from $25–$40 per hour. Signature Nannies does not place nannies below $25 per hour. Final rates depend on experience, references, and qualifications. Guaranteed hours apply — nannies are paid their regular schedule even if hours are reduced. Additional compensation is required for travel, extended hours, and overnights. See IRS Pub. 926 for household employment guidelines.

  • Focused on mother’s healing & mental health
  • Lactation guidance, meals, light household help
  • Daytime visits, typically 4 – 8 hours

Career Baby Nanny

  • Routines, activities, light homework, after-school
  • Bilingual and travel-nanny options

Temporary or Permanent · Full Transition Covered

Whether you need a temporary baby nurse or a permanent baby nanny — we’ll guide you through every step of the transition.

Once you select your package, our replacement warranty guarantee covers your entire newborn transition. If your circumstances change, your specialist isn’t the right fit, or you move from short-term newborn care to long-term nanny support, we replace and re-match at no additional placement fee — for the full warranty period.

From Hospital to Home

We meet you the moment your baby arrives.

Our certified Newborn Care Specialists can join you bedside at the hospital — helping with first latches, swaddling, recovery from C‑section, and the quiet first nights — then continue the transition home so mom and baby are never alone in the fragile early hours.

Hospital-Side Support

Bedside guidance with feeding, swaddling, and recovery from delivery.

Questions Families Ask

Before we begin.

Do you place live-in nannies?
Yes. We place live-in career nannies across South Florida and Orlando for families needing round-the-clock support. Every candidate is fully vetted, background-checked, and CPR certified.
Can you support newborn twins or multiples?
Absolutely. Our roster includes specialized twin baby nurses and Newborn Care Specialists with extensive experience supporting families with multiples, including overnight and 24/7 schedules.
Do you offer household staff beyond childcare?
Yes. In addition to nannies and baby nurses, we place housekeepers, household managers, estate managers, private chefs, personal assistants, and senior companions for private residences.
How does payment work?
A $500 non-refundable retainer secures your search and is credited in full toward the placement fee. The remaining balance is due upfront before your specialist begins. We accept Zelle, Venmo, and bank transfer (wire / ACH).
Can a baby nurse meet us at the hospital?
Yes. Our certified Newborn Care Specialists can join you bedside at the hospital to assist with feeding, swaddling, recovery, and the first hours with your newborn, then continue care home so the transition is seamless.
Do you offer true 24/7 live-in coverage?
Yes. We staff rotational live-in teams of two Baby Nurses so coverage is continuous 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — without burning out a single caregiver. Common for multiples, NICU graduates, and high-demand households.
What are your hourly rates?
Hourly rates for baby nurses and specialty nannies typically range from $25 to $40 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience, certifications (NCS, IBCLC, CPR/First Aid, lactation training), and the complexity of care. We quote transparently.
What is the difference between a postpartum doula and a certified baby nurse?
A postpartum doula is mother-centered — focused on the new mom's emotional and physical recovery, lactation guidance, meals, and household ease, usually during the day. A certified Baby Nurse (NCS) is newborn-centered — overnight or 24/7 trained care for the baby including feeding, sleep shaping, swaddling, and recognizing medical concerns. Many families engage both.
How are your candidates vetted?
Every candidate is personally interviewed, background-checked at the national level, reference-verified across multiple prior families, and confirmed CPR/First Aid certified before they are ever introduced to a household. Many of our roster come exclusively by private referral from existing principal families.
Are your placements bound by confidentiality?
Yes. Every placement is NDA-bound and trained in the privacy expectations of high-profile principals — press-aware, social-media-abstinent, and accustomed to working alongside security teams when needed.
Which areas do you serve?
Palm Beach Island, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Jupiter Island, Manalapan, Lake Worth, Atlantis, Boca Raton (East & West, including Royal Palm Yacht & CC, The Sanctuary, Boca West, Polo Club, Woodfield), Parkland, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Coral Gables (Gables Estates, Cocoplum, Old Cutler), Pinecrest, Key Biscayne, Naples, and Orlando.
